Bidirectional Power Flow Control and Hybrid Charging Strategies for
The objective of this article is to propose a photovoltaic (PV) power and energy storage system with bidirectional power flow control and hybrid charging strategies.
View DetailsIn the case of bidirectional charging, EVs can even function as mobile, flexible storage systems that can be integrated into the grid. This paper introduces a novel testing environment that integrates unidirectional and bidirectional charging infrastructures into an existing hybrid energy storage system.
There have been some research results in the scheduling strategy of the energy storage system of the photovoltaic charging station. It copes with the uncertainty of electric vehicle charging load by optimizing the active and reactive power of energy storage .
Photovoltaic charging stations are usually equipped with energy storage equipment to realize energy storage and regulation, improve photovoltaic consumption rate, and obtain economic profits through “low storage and high power generation” .
In addition, with the proposed strategies, the bidirectional charging/discharging capability of the battery is able to achieve the maximum PV power utilization. All the proposed strategies can be realized by the digital signal processor without adding any additional circuit, component, and communication mechanism.
The objective of this article is to propose a photovoltaic (PV) power and energy storage system with bidirectional power flow control and hybrid charging strategies.
