The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and ACWA Power of Saudi Arabia signed a $51 million loan package to build Central Asia's first wind power facility with a utility-scale battery energy storage system in Qoraozak district of Karakalpakstan. The project is being implemented by Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power with the support of the ADB, AIIB, the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Saudi EXIM.
